Jeff Sessions is an Idiot: Talks about the "Tropic Breeze" at Guantanamo
“Somebody said it’s bad PR, but they’re really running a tight ship down there,” Sessions said of the controversial detention facility that Barack Obama wants to shut down. “[The prisoners] wouldn’t be treated any better in the United States.
“And they wouldn’t have the tropic breeze blowing through like they do. It’s a beautiful site. If Trump had that site, he could produce a resort that would be pretty remarkable.”
Sessions’ comments come as Congress is debating whether to include funds in the emergency wartime spending bill to shut down the facility. Critics complain of detainee abuse and prisoners held without being charged, saying it’s damaged U.S. prestige around the world.
But the Alabama Republican called Guantanamo a “very safe and humane place.”
Seriously, what a jackass. If he was in the conditions as the detainees, who the vast majority of have still not been charged with a single crime, he would piss his pants in a minute and cry for his moma. Give me a break. And the remainder of the Repuglican Party wonders why only 21% of people identify themselves as GOPers. So in that respect, keep it up Jeff. You're doing a heckuva job. You betcha.

Your point is well taken about how the Republicans will scream no matter who Obama picks. I bring up Sessions past b/c there is a lot of chatter that it will be a minority. And then Sessions' comments could easily be dismissed. And truth be told, it is fun to bash Sessions...
