The Political Point of the Day

Today's selection comes from Friedrich Nietzsche:
All things are subject to interpretation.  Whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.
I remember back at college I took a course in political philosophy.  The instructor, who was an unabashed conservative, said that of all of the people we studied Nietzsche was the easiest to understand.  This upset him because Nietzsche challenged his beliefs so thoroughly.  There is definitely an almost dark underlining to Nietzsche's way of thinking.  Man is all alone, etc.  However, he does conclude that the man who embraces this fact and still carries forward can elevate himself to lofty heights.  Just some food for thought.
