Today's selection comes from Plato:

All men are by nature equal, made all of the same earth by one Workman; and however we deceive ourselves, as dear unto God is the poor peasant as the mighty prince.

The ancient Greeks were on to something.  It is too bad that for most of humankind these words have been completely ignored.  It is true that we have come very far in this country.  Afterall, Barack Obama is our president.  However, many barriers remain, social as well as economic.  And in tough times like these the gap between the poor peasant and the mighty prince only grows.  The remedy to this is Solidarity.  We peasants are the vast majority, let's flex our muscles.
